How to Turn One Video into 27 Pieces of Content

I was recently asked a question by a client that I thought would be helpful to address for everyone. At Amplified NOW, we are always talking about how you can say something once and create 27 pieces of content.

For our clients, this is done by recording a video where they speak for five to ten minutes on a topic within their expertise.  Then we take that video and turn it into 27 pieces of content that give you a 27X return on your investment.

Our client was asking what they should do now with the content they have? My answer is simple: post it! Get it in as many places and in front of as many eyes as possible.

How To Use Your Content

The first thing you need to do is record a video. When you work with us, we will help you through this process and provide you with a number of different videos that have captions hard burned into them.
If you choose to do this part yourself, you’ll want to make sure you have several edited versions and clips of your video to be used on different platforms. The above checklist will lay out the different aspect ratios and time limits that you should edit for.

You’ll want to take your full-length, landscape video with captions and upload it to YouTube. When you fill in the description, make sure you have your keyword and a link there that goes back to your contact form or a download on your site. You want to take people from YouTube, or where ever else you post, to your sales process to enter your buying journey.

Then, you take the full-length, portrait video with captions and add that to IGTV.

Next, you want to take your 15, 30, and 60-second snippets with captions and add them to Instagram Reels and Tik Tok. Don’t do all of these on the same day. Spread it out so that your words have a timeline and your thoughts can be dripped out to reach the maximum amount of people.

For our clients, we have an orientation call that helps you set up social media scheduling. Our way of doing this involves using some programs that make it automatic and something you barely even have to think about once it is all set up.

Share Your Expertise

The main thing to remember is once you’ve recorded your video, don’t just let it live on your computer. People aren’t going to connect with you unless you put it out into the world in as many ways and places as possible.

I had another conversation with a different client who wasn’t sure if her LinkedIn connections would be interested in her video content. I say, post it anyway!

You don’t know who might be in the market for your product or service until you try. Use your content! Let the re-purposing let you be everywhere!
