How to Feed the Content Beast

Did you get into business to spend your whole life on social media? I didn’t think so.

So let’s talk about the content beast. When I picture the content beast, I picture some giant, six-foot, blue (for some reason), scraggly monster that is never satisfied. Perhaps I just painted a picture of the Cookie Monster in your head. Actually that’s pretty apt because the Cookie Monster, if you’ve ever seen one episode of Sesame Street, has a never-ending hunger for cookies.

The content beast is never full either. There never becomes a point on any social media platform where you’ve done enough. In fact, the goalpost keeps getting moved.

All of a sudden, if you think you’ve filled something up, then you find out you should be scheduling out more content or the algorithm changes. It never ends and I’m almost positive you did not start your business to become a content mill. Here’s what you can do instead.

Hire Someone to Make Those ‘Cookies’ For You

When you are creating content, what you are doing is making cookies for Cookie Monster. But what if it didn’t have to be that way? What if you could hit record on a video and speak for 5 to 10 minutes about something you are an expert in?

Your video wouldn’t involve memorization or a script. You can just look over some bullet points and figure out what you’re going to talk about. Once you stop recording, you can walk away and you can hire me to make your cookies for you.

What we’ll do is take that video, and we will mine it for gems. In any 5 to 10 minute video, there are at least three really good pithy quotes that will help feed the content beast.

We’ll turn your video into a Twitter thread to produce multiple tweets for your feed. Your video will be turned into a transcript that we can use to create blog posts and other content. The video itself will have captions so it can be shared to multiple platforms and people can watch it on mute if they wish. So many people rely on video captions as they prefer to watch without sound sometimes.

Win Back Your Time (So You Can Focus on Other Areas Of Your Business)

The point is if you could speak for 5 or 10 minutes, that content can be repurposed in so many ways.

What would that be worth to you? How much time would you get back? If you’re interested in learning more and becoming an AmplifiedNOW client, head here to book a call and we’ll see if we’re a good fit to work together.
