Why You Should Create Your Videos in Batches

Turn one video into 27 pieces of content

Download the exact checklist we use to turn one 5-10 minute video into 27 pieces of content.

Repurposing your video content for other marketing efforts is already a genius idea in of itself. At AmplifiedNOW, we do share one little secret with our clients that may not really be a big secret after all.

In order to get more done in less time, we encourage our clients to strategize and record a group of videos at once. This is also known as creating videos in batches.

Working in batches is not a new concept and if you’re looking to be more efficient and productive, this video strategy can be helpful. Let’s discuss why you should start creating videos in batches and the best way to do it.

Batching Content Simplifies the Task

Batching content is such a good way to get it off your plate. So if you were to work with us, we would set you up with a strategy session where we come up with a whole bunch of ideas for the kinds of videos you would be creating (we have a 25 video package). Sometimes, it seems like it could be impossible to come up with 25 videos. However, that’s definitely not the case.

When we get into brainstorming mode, we end up with five times as much content. In fact, it may even seem like it’s hard to stop generating ideas once you get started. You can record how-to videos, lessons you’ve learned in your business, respond to common questions you receive, and more.

Because brainstorming can leave you depleted, so we leave it and rest overnight. Then, we book time on the calendar – usually 60 to 90 minutes – to see how many videos you can record during that time. Since you already have your ideas and talking points, creating videos in batches simplifies the whole process.

Imagine if you have to brainstorm, plan, and shoot your videos one by one. Doing this would leave you feeling really depleted each time.

Creating Videos in Batches Can Help You Get Better

I like to see how many videos we can get done in that short period of time because you get into the video mindset. It’s actually easier to do your 10th video than it is to do your first. Although from where I sit on the other side of the screen, I watch for lagging energy.

If we have to stop at 45 minutes, we stop at 45 minutes. I may even recommend that you stand up since people tend to have a lot more energy when they stand up. We can coach you through all of that if you are one of our clients.

But think about how you can create all of this content right away to save time, and get better at feeling comfortable on camera. Creating videos in batches can really change your mindset because if you can focus for that 30 to 90 minutes, you can get a lot done.

We’ll Guide You Along the Way

When you sit down with me and we hit record, feel free to talk until you run out of things to say. I will guide you through it so that each video has a beginning, middle, and end. The great thing about it is, once you’re done – you’re done for a while. What I like to do most times is batch the content and try to get all 25 videos recorded within one to two weeks so that the hands-on portion of the work is so small.

Working with us is a 6-month commitment. Most of the work is done in the background without your knowledge, and you can approve and schedule things yourself. But all of this is to get you to the point where somebody reaches out to you and says: “Wow, that was a great video you did on LinkedIn.”

That’s the beauty of this. If you want to spend more of your time following up with leads, who reach out to you because the videos are running in the background, book a call. I would love to help you with that.
